Companionship
Someone to sit with over a pot of tea, share the news of the day, play cards, or simply not be alone in the house. For many families, this is where it starts.
The unregulated services we provide today — and a plain account of the ones we don't, yet.
Unregulated services, provided today, with nothing on this page that we can't actually deliver.
Someone to sit with over a pot of tea, share the news of the day, play cards, or simply not be alone in the house. For many families, this is where it starts.
Light cleaning, tidying, the laundry and the ironing. Not a deep clean — the everyday upkeep that keeps a home comfortable and safe to move around in.
The weekly shop done together or on your behalf, a few bits picked up between visits, and prescriptions collected from the pharmacy.
A hot meal made with the toaster, microwave and air fryer. No oven, no hob, no flame — we tell you that plainly, because the honesty is the point.
A steady arm to an appointment, the shops, church, the hairdresser, or a walk in the fresh air. Getting out is often the thing that lifts the week.
Companionship-based sitting so a family carer can keep their own appointment, rest, or leave the house — knowing someone familiar is there.
We'd rather explain the whole arrangement than tell you to "call for a chat". The only thing we discuss in person is the number itself — and we confirm it at the free home visit, with nothing to sign on the day.
Arkand Care Ltd is registered at Companies House in England and Wales (no. 17291178). We are not registered with the Care Quality Commission, and we do not provide personal care.
Companionship, help around the home, shopping, simple meal preparation and accompanied outings are not regulated activities, and we provide them today. Washing, dressing and medication are regulated, and we will not offer them until we are registered to.
We would rather tell you what we cannot do than be vague about what we can.
Personal care, dementia support, medication support and night care are regulated services. We will offer them once the Care Quality Commission has registered us, and not before.
If you'd like us to let you know when that happens, say so and we will.
Not yet. Washing, dressing and medication are regulated activities, and we will not offer them until the Care Quality Commission has registered us. Today we provide companionship, help around the home, shopping, simple meal preparation and accompanied outings — none of which are regulated.
Meals made with the toaster, microwave and air fryer. No oven, no hob, no flame. We state it plainly because it's the honest scope of what we can do today.
Yes — thirty minutes. That's our minimum, not our default. Most visits are longer, because unhurried is the point.
We agree one clear hourly rate in writing before any care starts, with no travel charge, no assessment or set-up fee, and no minimum contract. We confirm your rate at the free home visit, so we can talk it through in person rather than quote a number that doesn't fit your situation.
No. The home visit is free and there's nothing to sign while we're there. You decide in your own time.
East London. We keep the area tight on purpose.
Ring the number and you'll speak to the person accountable for the care.
